Pen Brady talks about the art she created for the official 2009 Pinnacle
Hills Arts Festival poster:
“ I was very excited when approached
about doing an ivory-billed woodpecker for the 2009 Pinnacle Hills Arts Festival poster. I’ve always loved watching
their cousins, the piliated woodpeckers, & hearing their call echo through the woods.
I believe all the renewed attention given
to the search of the ivory-bill is ultimately a good thing. The more room we can allow them, the better their chances of recovery.
Like the childs game, 'Marco…Polo',
if we keep calling & searching, my hope is they’ll return the call.” - Pen Brady
