Today, Stiel Direct takes on large and small
scale regional, national, and international marketing initiatives and specialty assignments for many Fortune 100 clients.
Stiel Direct LLC originally began in 1978 as Ad-Vans
Advertising in Newport Beach, California. Our founder, Dan Stiel, started the company as a means to pay his tuition as
a student at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
Our first clients in the late 1970s and early 1980s
included some of Southern California's most innovative and successful regional financial institutions of the time, including
Bank of America, Santa Monica Bank, Bank of Newport, National Bank of Whittier, and many others.
After graduating from USC in 1983, Dan went to
work in the marketing department at First Interstate Bancorp (acquired by Wells Fargo in 1996) where he developed his
career over the next eleven years beginning in Market Research and quickly progressing through Marketing Services, Product
Management, and Vice President, Marketing Director for its Southern California operations. Dan followed this success
with senior level marketing assignments at Visa USA and Circle K Stores, Inc.
In 1999, Stiel Direct was relaunched
and refocused towards national and international financial services clients seeking innovative and effective marketing solutions
in a constantly changing and challenging business climate.
